Exploring The Power Of The Subconscious Mind

It is a little scary to think that we are controlled by invisible inner forces, and it is a lifelong quest to understand all that entails. However I find that it is a fascinating, enriching and amazing journey. After all if we knew everything, what would be left to explore? The regions of our mind and spirit are far vaster than our physical surroundings.

If you have an adventurous spirit, then the process of exploring the power of the subconscious mind can be a wild but enjoyable ride. Far be it for me to belittle the bumps in the road, I know how many potholes can greet you. But maybe, just maybe, working to get that low self-esteem lion off of our backs could even be a little fun at times!

I actually had the opportunity to have a lion cub on my back in Arizona, before she got big enough to view me as a snack!

Did you know they purr like kittens?

The power of the subconscious mind is greatly under-estimated. As the analogy of the iceberg is used, our conscious self is only the tip of the iceberg, what lies beneath is our subconscious mind, the driving force of our lives.

According to the Wikipedia encyclopedia the definition of the subconscious mind is:

“The notion of a subconscious in some branches of psychotherapy is considered to be the deepest level of consciousness, that individuals are not directly aware of, but still affects conscious behavior. This notion is similar to, but not precisely the same as, the notion of the unconscious in psychoanalytic theory.

At the present stage, there are still fundamental disagreements within psychology about the nature of the subconscious mind (if indeed it is considered to exist at all), whereas outside formal psychology a whole world of pop-psychological speculation has grown up in which the unconscious mind is held to have any number of properties and abilities, from animalistic and innocent, child-like aspects to savant-like, all-perceiving, mystical and occultic properties.” _______________________________________________________________
